Buy top-quality nut butters
Being transformed into smooth nut butter is probably the best thing that can happen to a nut. This seems to us to be common sense! At KoRo you can buy pure nut mousses in so many different varieties. We finely grind the nuts until a smooth nut butter has been formed, and the result we would love to nibble all at once. Our nut butters are made without any added sugar and consist - apart from a few exceptions - of 100% nuts. From almond and peanut butter to cashew mousse, we have every variety in our range, just to bring a smile to your face. But beware: our nut mousses are highly addictive and it could be difficult to put aside your spoon.
Nut butters in large glass jars
As you know, at KoRo you can buy foods in convenient bulk-sized packs. This also applies to our nut butters. At KoRo you get giant glass jars of nut butter! The majority of our nut mousses is filled into large 500 g glasses, such as our walnut mousse. This is how you can enjoy it much longer!
Creamy, creamier, mousse!
The texture of our nut butters is particularly creamy. However, it might happen sometimes that the oil of the ground nuts swims at the top right after opening. This oil is what acts as a protective layer and ensures that your nut butter has a longer shelf life. By simply stirring it, your nut mousse will return to its original, creamy texture, waiting for you to devour it.
The nut mousse range at KoRo
The list of our nut butters is long. To be more precise, we have over 15 different nut butter varieties for you. Some of our nut butters go well with sweet creations, like our delicious almond and hazelnut butters, others are more suitable for savoury dishes, like the classic tahini, or our delicate cashew mousse. Some of them we spoon straight out of the jar just as they are (we are talking to you, peanut butter lovers), others are the perfect topping in our breakfast bowls. There is something for everybody!
100% nut butter
We love natural foods. Therefore, we avoid additives, such as colourings or preservatives, in our nut butters. Moreover, our nut butters are unsweetened and without any added sugar. All you will find in our nut butters is 100% nuts and 0% added sugar. There are one or two exceptions only: our organic date hazelnut spread as well as our organic walnut nougat spread contain besides nuts some other ingredients.
The classics: peanut butter & Co.
The most famous ones are probably peanut butter and almond butter - understandably, they simply taste delicious.
There are two different varieties of almond mousse in our range: white almond butter and brown almond butter. The white almond butter is made of peeled almond kernels, for the brown one slightly roasted, unpeeled almonds are processed instead. If you would like to make your friends fall in love with almond butter, our sample sachets of almond butter are just right for you.
Nut mousses in all variations
KoRo is also known for other delicacies. From delicious pistachio butter to macadamia butter, we have a lot to offer. Here are just some of the highlights:

Yes, we admit it. We simply love spooning nut butter straight out of the jar. We could bath in our crunchy peanut butter! But also our pistachio butter is high in the priority list. Each time that we are passing the store cupboard we grab a spoon - however, we remember to use a clean spoon each time, to ensure that the beloved nut mousses will enjoy a long shelf life.
All questions about nut butters
We would like to provide you with all the relevant information about our nut butters. If you have a question about one specific product, please check the product specification attached to every product page. Should you not find what you are looking for, please contact us via mail or social media: we are always happy to help!
How is nut butter made?
First of all, we roast the nuts: this gives an especially fine flavour to the final nut butters. When the nuts have cooled sufficiently, they are ground. For producing nut butter you need to have powerful machines or rather mixers, that are able to process the nuts so finely that the nut’s oil can leak. This ensures an irresistible texture of the resulting nut butter. The creamy nut butter is then filled into large glass jars, so that you can enjoy your favourite nut butter for a longer period of time. As soon as the jars are labelled, the nut butter travels first to our warehouse in Berlin and then straight to your home. Sure, you can also make nut butter by yourself, but for your convenience we suggest that you let us do the job!
What is the difference to conventional nut butters?
Our nut mousses are manufactured without any additives - our almond butter for example consists of 100% almonds only! Nut butter that you normally get in the supermarket usually contains added sugar or oil.
Do nut butters have sugar?
No, our nut butters are completely free of added sugar! We think that nut butters taste best if unsweetened, therefore we avoid all sweeteners in our nut butter variations. Just our organic walnut and nougat spread is sweetened. All the other nut mousses are just perfect without any sugar.
Why does nut butter have so many calories?
Nut butter is high in calories, because nuts are generally a great source of energy, and therefore very calorie-dense. Most nuts have a fat content of at least 30% and a protein content of at least 20%.
Is nut butter vegan?
Yes, all our nut butters are vegan. Our peanut butter, for example, is vegan and totally free from any animal ingredients. You can also find all ingredients on the label or on every product page in our online shop. Only our organic walnut and nougat spread contains whole milk powder.
How do you store nut butter?
Keep your nut butter at room temperature in your store cupboard, even if it has been already opened. You can store your nut butter also in the fridge, however perhaps it will have a firmer consistency and will be less creamy. Always make sure to use a clean spoon when nibbling your favourite nut butter.
Tip: do not drain the oil that potentially swims at the top of the nut butter right after opening - the oil is what acts as a protective layer and ensures that your nut butter has a longer shelf life. By simply stirring thoroughly the nut butter before eating it, the typical creamy texture we all adore will be back.
Is nut butter a good source of protein?
Yes, our nut butters have a high protein content. Our peanut butter contains 28 g protein per 100 g, while our brown almond butter has 27 g protein. Nut butters can support your muscle build-up and are the perfect topping for your protein bowls!
