Mansikat kuuluvat rosoideae alaryhmään ruusukasvien luokkaan. Mansikoita tuotiin Eurooppaan jo 1600- luvulla ja ne ovat olleet suuressa suosiossa siitä lähtien.
Tänä päivänä mansikka on yksi maailman suosituimmista marjoista. Valitettavasti mansikkaa saa ainoastaan muutaman kesäkuukauden ajan. Voit helpottaa odotusaikaa syömällä kuivattuja mansikoita ympäri vuoden. Kuivatut mansikat eivät sisällä sokeria tai rikkiä ja ovat aivan yhtä makeita kuin tuoreet mansikat.

Sehr erdbeerig
Ich habe die getrockneten Erdbeeren gekauft, weil ich zufällig in einer Special Studentenfuttermischung welche drin hatte und die so unglaublich lecker fand. Die hier sind allerdings ganz anders. Die in der Mischung haben eher an getrocknete Aprikosen erinnert, die von Koro hingegen ähneln in der Konsistenz fast schon Chips (ohne die Knusprigkeit XD). Das tut dem sehr erdbeerigen Geschmack allerdings keinen Abbruch, ich hatte nur etwas anderes erwartet.
Lecker, schmackhaft und aromatisch, aber ziemlich hart
